Workshops Offered

Groups of all kinds go through a predictable, though dynamic, life cycle. Learn how to identify these stages and facilitate a group that is mindful and tailored to its development.

Stages of Group Development

Understanding Spiritual Abuse

What is spiritual abuse, how does it manifest, and what is its impact? This training will support participants in understanding the complexities of spiritual abuse and the strategies to identify and prevent it.

Grief 101

This introductory training will provide participants with a basic framework for understanding the various presentations of grief, including disenfranchised grief, bereavement, and relationship loss. It will provide an overview on the mourning process and offer practical guidelines for supporting community members experiencing a loss of any kind.

Trauma 101

“Trauma” is a commonly used word with a complex, sometimes evolving definition. This introductory training will provide participants with a working definition of trauma, an overview of its impacts, and the ways in which to integrate a trauma-informed lens into caring for our communities.

For Faith Based Communities

Churches and ministry spaces can and should be spaces where people find safety and flourish, but sometimes they fall short and cause unintended harm. Learn how to cultivate a church or ministry context that prevents this harm and cares for the needs of trauma survivors.

Trauma-Informed Ministry

Creation Care: The Importance of Place

In this unique workshop, learn how local congregations can include creation as a participating member of the community. This training will focus on the ways in which a sense of place supports our spiritual, psychological, and physical health, and how churches can steward the natural world in a way that supports the flourishing of all living things.
