Therapist, LCSW

Kristina Knight

Psychotherapy offers a space where you can process a wide variety of difficult experiences, including anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. Therapy should be an authentic, collaborative relationship that moves you towards greater freedom and overall well-being. Together we'll explore how your past experiences, current relational dynamics, and bigger systemic factors impact you and your treatment goals.

My Background

I am a licensed clinical social worker who was born and raised in New Jersey. I received a dual bachelor's degree in social work and Africana studies from Rutgers University and later graduated from Fordham University with a master's degree in social work. I specialize in treating individuals who have experienced trauma, are processing grief, or wrestle with anxiety. I am also equipped to support individuals who have experienced spiritual/religious abuse or are trying to more healthily integrate their faith into their daily lives.

My Interests

I love cooking, gardening, and hiking. I'm also a black belt in martial arts and a devoted cat mom. Professionally, when I'm not in the therapy room, I'm working with nonprofits, schools, and churches to develop and facilitate workshops about grief, social-emotional learning, and healthy spirituality.

What’s Next?

I’m looking forward to meeting you and creating a space where we can understand your story and work towards your goals together. Please feel free to reach out for a free 15-minute phone consultation.

My Rates

Individual Services

Individual therapy (45-minute session): $150

Couples therapy (50-minute session): $175

Consulting (per 60 minutes): $200

Accepted Payments

I accept payment via cash, check, debit or credit card, HSA, and Ivy Pay (and other contactless payments) at the end of each session.

Out of Network Billing

I do not accept insurance at this time. However, if you receive Out of Network (OON) benefits from your insurance coverage I can offer a receipt (called a superbill) with appropriate details for you to request reimbursement from your insurance carrier if applicable.

How do I know if I have out of Network Benefits?

Out of network benefits can significantly help cover the cost of therapy by reimbursing you for a substantial portion of the fees, sometimes up to 80-90%. If your insurance plan includes these benefits, you may be able to get reimbursed for sessions with providers outside your insurance network. It's worth checking if you have these benefits, as they can make therapy more affordable. Click the button below to easily check your coverage and reimbursement rate.
