How to Submit an Out of Network Claim with Blue Cross Blue Shield (Mobile App)

Step One: Email me for a superbill!

You can email me anytime at drjessicadiasodse@liminalpsychology.org to request a copy of your superbill. The superbill I provide will include:

  • My Name, Tax ID, and Professional Address

  • Procedure/CPT/Service Code

  • Date of Service for Each Service

  • Diagnosis Code

  • Patient Name

  • Place of Service


Step Two: Download Sydney Health App

Download the Sydney Health app if you don’t already have it on your phone or tablet. From there, login to your account & make sure that your mailing address is correct.


Step Three: Navigate to Claims

Navigate to the Claims tab on the bottom menu of the home screen. This is where you’ll be able to view and submit all in-network and out-of-network claims.


Step Four: Find Member Claims

Once you reach the claims page, scroll a bit down until you see Member Claims. Select submit a claim.


Step Five: Complete the Submit a Claim Flow

Once you reach the claims page, scroll a bit down until you see Member Claims. Select ‘Submit a medical claim’. Then, follow the instructions, inputting the information you can find on your superbill. Make sure to have your suberbill saved to your phone so that you can attatch it when prompted to do so.


That’s it! Reimbursement checks typically arrive in the mail within 4-6 weeks*.

*It should be noted that reimbursement for out of network treatment is not guaranteed. Prior to starting in treatment you should call your insurance company to confirm out of network coverage, the remaining amount on your deductible, and what percent of treatment you should expect your out of network benefits to cover.
